Description
With the support of the Inovation Platform for scientific information disclosure of the SURF foundation a digital atlas of the zebrafish embryo was initated. Within the context of this project a number of stages of the zebrafish embryo was digitized. This project focussed in usability issues and the scope of the implementation. Initialy, we have investigated to what extent such 3D information resource could be realized with the internet. We also investigated the broader consequences is may have for publication and information disclosure. Met steun van IWI is een digitale atlas opgezet, die een aantal stadia van ontwikkeling van het zebravisembryo beschrijft in drie dimensies (cf.[shortcut]) Doel van het project is het onderzoeken en ontwikkelen van methoden om de data die deel uitmaken van een digitale atlas van het zebravis embryo efficiënt te presenteren. De mogelijkheden om dit via internet te realiseren zijn een substantieel deel van dit onderzoek. Er wordt daarom zowel aandacht besteed aan de technische implementatie van deze gegevensverzameling als de bruikbaarheid van de applicaties voor de eindgebruiker. Wij zouden daarmee graag realiseren dat het gebruik van de applicaties wordt ingebed in het onderzoek van de eindgebruikers.
